[Source] The Crispin system was located at the outer border of the Wild Space, and at the very edge of the galaxy itself, and contained the Crispin asteroid field. Some time before the start of the Mandalorian Wars, a group of Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders led by Canderous Ordo discovered an object resembling a Yuuzhan Vong Yorik-stronha that had been hidden inside an ice asteroid there. The asteroid belt also served as a hiding place for several bands of anonymous pirates and smugglers; according to Canderous, the Mandalorians were there to "play" with them, possibly as a training exercise.
