Ryu is a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. World Warriors representing the Street Fighter franchise. Of the trio of primary fighting game main characters, which include him, Jin Kazama and Akira, Ryu is the lightest and weakest. To make up for this, he is the only one of the three with a projectile, thanks to his Hadoken. He and his semi-clone Demitri have very similar moves, but Ryu is a bit simpler to master, and in general is more well-rounded out stats wise. With the release of Version 2.0 the two have been more seperated and now function more differently between the two fighters.
