Crispin Lowrey was a puppeteer on Sooty Heights and the first couple of season of the Sooty television series. He trained as a designer at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama specialising in puppet and prop making. It was while studying there that he met a puppeteer called Andy Bradshaw who trained him as a puppeteer. From there he worked as a puppeteer on many theatre shows including some that have run in the West End. While working on a pantomime with Stan Stennet, he met the producers of Sooty and from this meeting he was cast as a puppeteer for the series.
