Smirk comes from the 24th century, where Planet Earth has been turned into a "polluted, yucky glob" thanks to the green slime created by Colonel Brown. Supposedly from his spaceship, Smirk teleported to late 20th century North Sterlington to inform Marko of his crucial role in stopping Brown with a magic football. After explaining the situation, Smirk's time in this period was beginning to end and he started to dematerialise. However, by kicking his football at Smirk's teleporting body, Marko was able to gain an "Extra Life".
