"Angle of Investigation" is a short-story written by Michael Connelly, featuring LAPD detectives Harry Bosch and Kizmin Rider. The opening of the story takes place on Bosch's second day on the job in 1972, while the second half takes place immediately following the events of The Closers. The story was first published in the 2005 anthology Plots with Guns, and later reprinted in the 2007 anthology The Penguin Book of Crime Stories, and will be included in the 2011 ebook collection Angle of Investigation.
