Hans Smit (Beverwijk, 19 March 1962) is a Dutch radio host. He started as a television news reader at the jeugdjournaal. There he opened the presentation from 1996 to 2004. His face was a familiar image at this youth news, partly because not only the youth, but also their parents meekeken. Every now and then he presented also the NOS Journaal. Since november 2004 , he is also working as a presenter of the VARA-Radio 2Breakfast radio programme. On 27 september 2007 known Hans Smit leaves the VARA for theAVRO starting from 1 January 2008 the art and culture magazine to present Opium .
