Connell Irig was an astrocartographer and scout. Circa 21,000 BBY he explored the Mid Rim on behalf of the Galactic Republic's Scout Program. Irig discovered and named an area of space not previously chartered officially, which it came to be known as the Irig sector. Irig however did not come across the mythical planet of Aantooine in his charter.
