By limiting people to seeing each other as commodities at best, the Chancellor encourages others to dehumanize those they hurt in their quest for profit, having sleepers lie, cheat, and murder their neighbors for useless lumps of carbon or soft metal. As capitalism grows across the globe, the Chancellor's Ministry of Mammon rises towards becoming an Archigenitor, most likely replacing the Hegemons as national patriotism is traded for corporate enterprise.
