The Guaraçaí Air-Breather is a mystery fish, reported from Southern Brazil. Length, 5 inches. Barbels. Only one gill. Two small, articulated limbs, with a membrane between the toes. Can stay alive out of the water. Surfaces every five minutes to breathe. The only known specimen was caught in September 1995 by Paulinho Clemente in a lake near Guaraçaí, São Paulo State, Brazil.
