Dordal was an Omalo domain-master. His domain bordered Reatur's on its southern border. Dordal refused to ally with Reatur against the Skarmer threat, believing no army could cross the Ervis Gorge. Instead he took advantage of Reatur's distraction to launch raids into Reatur's territory. A force of Reatur's males led by Ternat retaliated, and captured Dordal himself as their prisoner. His eldest, Grevil, refused to pay ransom for him, taking advantage of his father's indisposition to consolidate power. On being confronted with Lamra, a matewhohad survived budding, Dordal was horrified.
