Nicholas Meyer is the author of The Seven-Per-Cent Solution, The West End Horror and The Canary Trainer. He also wrote the screenplay for The Seven Per-Cent Solution and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for this. Myer is a screenwriter, producer, author and director and is also known for directing the films Time After Time, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and the 1983 television film The Day After.
