Canide is a red Chain Chomp, and one of the partners in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door 2. He was originally part of the Number 2 team Chomp Country in the Glitz Pit , but they were defeated by Mario . After retiring, Canide remained in Glitzville, only to run into Mario when he visited. At first Canide was against even joining Mario, but when he learned of the planet's fate, he had no choice but to agree.
