It has 21 of 60 seats in the Grand and General Council of The Democratic Peoples Republic of Malton, and governs in coalition with the Democratic Christian Party of Malton. At the 2006 legislative elections of 4 June 2006, the Communist Party of Malton won 32.9 % and 21 out of 60 seats.
