Gyr Taluk joined the Galactic Empire in 20 BBY when his parents were murdered by a Rodian bounty hunter. He had nowhere to go, since the bounty hunter stole all his inheritance and destroyed his parents' house. He did well as a stormtrooper and was promoted into the Empire's special forces. He conducted many black ops missions and was held in high regard by his superiors. One day, during a patrol of Tatooine, he encountered the bounty hunter that murdered his parent's. He tailed the murderer and confronted him. He killed the bounty hunter after revealing who he was.
