Rensen was a captain in the Imperial Navy and commander of the Direption. When Admiral Delak Krennel ordered him to raze a village that had housed a would-be assassin of the admiral, Rensen refused; Krennel crushed his throat with his prosthetic hand and gave command of the Direption to Vict Darron.
