The Chevrolet El Camino SS is the high-performance model in the El Camino coupe utility lineup. It was manufactured between 1968 and 1972. The 1970 El Camino SS strongly resembles the Chevelle SS. In 1971, its front fascia was redesigned. The 454 El Camino SS was the most powerful model in its range and is noted as such in most muscle car fan communities. Its name literally means 'The Path' in Spanish.
