Catharine Lynley (b. 1970) attended the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1981 to 1988, and served as Head Girl during her seventh year. She briefly dated Gilbert Moriarty, but he broke up with her in June 1987; by September 1987, she discovered that she was pregnant with Gilbert's child. She was aboard the Hogwarts Express on 1 September 1987, when Moriarty was murdered.
