This technique is used in the first film twice by Tai Lung when he paralyzes the Furious Five and tried to do it on Po by jabbing his two index fingers on his ribs (which is how the nerve attack is done), but fails because it doesn't affect Po, thus tickling him. There are apparently two different versions of the nerve attack, Tai Lung's and Oogway's.
