Calvin and the Hip Munks are minor characters in the ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks television series as the robotic doppelgangers of The Chipmunks. The Hip Munks are robotic doppelgangers of Alvin and the Chipmunks who were created by a duo of executives who sought to replace the real singing trio in order to gain more money and fame. They are destroyed when The Chipettes teamed up with the boys, causing the robots to overload and explode during the Battle of the Bands performance of "Strong Forever."
