Pal'sz was a large gas giant orbiting close to Hnafia in the Amszipia system. Whenever it was between the star and Am'sz, its size cast an immense shadow over the entire sun-facing side of Am'sz. Am'sz did not undergo total darkness however due to the dim light provided by the orange dwarf Crot. As Pal'sz was the closest planet to the primary in the system, it tended to reach temperatures of 3500 Centigrade and during the eclipse, gaseous ejections from Pal'sz clouds could be seen entering space from Am'sz, known as the Jufa's Mane.
