Nahor is the name of two patriarchs mentioned in the Book of Genesis. Nahor the Elder (c. 20th–19th century BC) was Terah's father and Abraham's grandfather (Genesis 11:22-25). He begat Terah at the age of 29 and lived to be 119. Nahor the Younger and his concubine Reumah had four children: Tebah, Gaham, Tahash, and Maacah. (Genesis 22). Nahor the Younger and his descendants apparently founded the city of Nahor (Genesis 24:10). Nahor the younger was also the great-grand-grandfather of Rachel and Leah, Rebekah's nieces, Laban's daughters, and Jacob's first cousins and wives (Genesis 27-31).
