The Blacksand City Guard was formed by Lord Varek Azzur from the remnants of Valentis' city militia in 254AC. This elite black-clad force is renowned for its harshness and among its ranks are included Ogres and Trolls. The guards wear black chainmail coats and iron helmets and their question to all who would enter Port Blacksand is "Who would enter Port Blacksand uninvited? State the nature of your business or go back the way you came." Many go back the way they came. They are ruthless in imposing Azzur's laws.
