The Double is a 2013 American drama black comedy thriller film directed by Richard Ayoade based on the novella by Fyodor Dostoyevsky of the same name, and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mia Wasikowska, Wallace Shawn and James Fox. The story focuses around a man named Simon James who slowly descends into madness after his encounter with his doppelgänger who resembles him both physically and with the same voice, but with a different character and has his name, James Simon.
