The unnamed Woman Shopper tried the patience of Elsie Howard in Sylvia's Separates as the shop held its closing down sale. She wittered on about a skirt that she was going to buy in green and then her daughter bought her one in dark red and she was trying to find a top to go with it. Elsie tried to hurry her along as they were so busy but the woman demanded time to think about her purchase.
