The USS Northstar was a Federation Starfleet starship that was in service in the 2370s. The Northstar was commanded by Captain Mikhail. In 2373, the Northstar and the USS Lakota were assigned to escort Maquis transports from a base in the Terikof Belt that Starfleet had found to new colony worlds. The Northstar was to return to Deep Space 9 and the Badlands several weeks later to patrol for more Maquis. (DS9 novella: The Badlands, Part IV)
