After he completed his early education, Bryndar was sent to an offworld school to complete some of his higher education. While there, he befriended Akleyn Kraen, the son of some of his parents' closest friends who lived on Yanibar. The more adventurous Bryndar was a good fit for the insular, thoughtful Akleyn. Bryndar did reasonably well in his academics, but excelled in sports, particularly zone ball.
