The Street Bum is an unnamed character that Gargamel runs into at least twice in New York City during the 2011 Smurfs movie. He is a homeless man pushing around a shopping cart, who looks and acts somewhat deranged. Because of the man's odd appearance, Gargamel mistakes him for a "fellow wizard" and asks the bum if he has seen any "little blue men" (referring to the Smurfs). The bum answers that he has seen them everywhere, which Gargamel takes as confirmation without any further examination of the claim. Later on during a second run-in with the bum, Gargamel hears him singing the Smurf song and asks where he learned it, to which the bum answers that it came from the "little blue men" whom he saw approaching a bookstore around a corner he had passed by.
