A warrant is a legally binding document that police officers use to legally search a suspect premises. A warrant has to be signed off by a magistrate. When presented the officer must proclaim "I/We have a warrant to search these property for (insert item) and correspondence relating towards (insert reason). They are usually for drug paraphernalia, money or weaponry.
