As suggested by their name, Flying Monkeys appear like monkeys with wings, talons and glowing red/yellow eyes. They work together to form swarms large enough to be mistaken as a bank of dark clouds. Their capabilities and power, if any, other than flying, is largely unknown. Additionally, their weaknesses are unknown. As they are from Oz, they may be identified as a form of fairy.
