The Amatsu (天津神, Amatsukami, lit. Heavenly God or Heaven Ruler God), alternately translated as Heavenly Gods in Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE and also known as Tenjin (天神) in Majin Tensei II: Spiral Nemesis, is a demon race that exclusively contains deities from Japanese mythology. Their relationship with the Kunitsu is a little like the rivalry between the Deities and the Tyrants, in that they are opposing forces. They represent heaven and conquered the earth inhabited by their rival kunitsukami.
