Carceret is an experienced female Adem mercenary. She is the one who first discovers Tempi's unauthorized teaching of the Ketan to Kvothe. She despises Kvothe as a barbarian and considers him a thief of their secrets. Her hate for him multiplies when he is given Saicere, the sword that was last carried by Larel, Carceret's mother.
