They appear as villainous invaders on the original TMNT show in the episode "Night of the Dark Turtle", under the command of a Captain Zorax; their government is called the "Triceratons Empire". Upon their arrival on Earth, they tried to transport the planet through a stargate to their homeworlds in order to plunder it completely, but this plan was thwarted by Donatello, who lead them to believe that he and his brothers were far superior to the Triceratons powers and abilities causing them to leave Earth.
