At some point, Jobis was visited by the First Doctor, Vicki Pallister, Ian Chesterton, and Barbara Wright. They stayed on Platform Five for several weeks. During their visit, the planet was attacked by the Rocket Men. The Doctor communicated with the giant Manta rays that lived in the skies of Jobis and with their help killed Ashman, the leader of the Rocket Men, and stopped them from stealing the crystalline insects who lived on the planet.
