Diary of a Wimpy Kid is the first book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. The book covers the months of September to June. The book was released on Sunday, April 1 2007 and was followed by Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules the next year. It was heavily based off about a third of the content from the online version. This book mainly focuses on Greg's first year in middle school.
