The 3rd Systems Army, based on Carida, is responsible for overseeing an area of space stretching from the front with the New Republic at Nak Shimor to the border worlds of Mimban and Yaartsek. Part of the larger Imperial Center Sector Army, the 3rd Systems Army is one of the first and last lines of defense for the Galactic Core. Between its reserves and the four armies under its command, the 3rd Systems Army manages around one and a half million soldiers of the Imperial Army. Of its child armies, the 24th Army amd 41st Army are attached to Strike Force Havoc aboard converted Star Galleons, as well as on some of the Strike Force's warships. The remaining two armies, the 38th and 32nd, are stationed at Carida and across the border worlds, respectively.
