General Sir Charles John Stanley Gough, VC, GCB (; 28 January 1832 – 6 September 1912), was born into an Anglo-Irish aristocratic family in Chittagong, Bengal, British India, and was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.
