Nanten Island (Japanese: 南天島 Nanten Shima) is one of the two outllying islands of the Xeno region, first appearing as a part of Generation ζ in Pokémon Aether, Nether, and Tether Versions. Larger than its counterpart, Mahima Island, it is the only one that can be considered directly connected to its parent region in the from of the Feudal Crossing (Japanese: 封建交差点 Hōken Kōsaten). While ordinarily a hard journey for most Pokémon Trainers, as each of the passages is filled practically to the brim with a myraid amount of Wild Pokémon, the advent of modern transportation has allowed people to travel between the two locations with little trouble. However, some still choose to take the less-travelled route, either for the challenge or due to them lacking the funds necessary for overland travel.
