Crewman Baird was a member of the crew of Enterprise NX-01 in the 2150s. In 2152, while trapped in an elaborate, transporter-induced illusion which was a manifestation of her own insecurities, Ensign Hoshi Sato was distressed to discover that Baird was able to decipher the language of an alien species, whereas Sato had failed to accomplish the same task, and that he had replaced her by having been placed in charge of communications. (ENT: "Vanishing Point") Baird was played by actor Morgan H. Margolis.
