Eleanor Pike is a character portrayed by Susan Ruttan in the ABC crime series Castle. Eleanor is the wife of Sam and mother of Adam. Across twenty turbulent years since her husband lost his livelihood and so very nearly his life, she has worked and scrimped to keep her family going. The news that one of the women responsible for her situation, Cynthia Dern, is dead, understandably does not move her to tears. Eleanor, it later turns out, has been receiving anonymous monthly payments since the accident, from someone seemingly connected, who feels guilt concerning their role.
