In 1997, the Zone Leader discovered that Alf Bandstand and his co-pilot were about to crash their hot air balloon. To solve the problem, he called in Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails to help and showed immense gratitude when Sonic soon turned up. However, the owl grew agitated when Sonic's attentions turned towards Tails and his sudden attitude problem.
