Paul was a CTU Los Angeles agent and helicopter crewman active during Day 2. When Jack Bauer apprehended Alex Hewitt, who could prove the Cyprus recording was forged, Tony Almeida dispatched a helicopter to pick them up from Hewitt's apartment complex. Paul was in the back of the helicopter, ready to take the suspect back to CTU for questioning. However, Ryan Chappelle rescinded the order, and Carrie Turner called Paul to tell him to turn back. Paul then informed the chopper pilot of the change of orders, and the two flew back to CTU despite Jack's desperate attempts to order him otherwise. ("Day 2: 6:00am-7:00am")
