Additionally, flares produce light, meaning your visibility will increase when near an active flare.

  • Flare can be logical when she stops and thinks- but is primarily ruled by a barely constrained temper. Her sarcasm gets insulting towards those she dislikes- unless they happen to outrank her. She is a very good medic- when she feels like it. Flare tends to be very moody, sullen at times but with brief (sometimes regretted, but not often) flares of fiery temper. Doesn't care for the opinions of those 'lower' than herself, including Autobots. In vehicle mode, she is a 1970Us model Challenger capable of speeds up to 130 MPH, and armed with twin lasers beside her headlights. Her standards of achievement are high, but her methods of getting there are low.

Most players don't use it because the Covenant can somehow see through the cloud of shit because of their x-ray goggles of douchebaggery. Human forces have tried to make their own but to no avail. So we just don't use them that much in campaign-and only stupid people use it in multiplayer. I mean what the fuck!? Why even try when its range is so large that only a noob would think that it wouldn't effect him!? It is the Brute version of the Flashbang.

  • Thanks to the intervention of the Chaotix Crew, Flare was forced to spend four years in prison for an unknown crime. Flares provide 1 in-game hour of light (or 5 real-time minutes), and unlike the torch, they can be lit in windy weather. • Flares are a Land Unit. To date their one and only appearance is in Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. Although offensively weak (their only weapon being a Machine Gun) they have the unique ability to fire Flares which illuminate squares of terrain in Fog of War. However, when compared to the Recon, they do significantly more damage against similar anti infantry units and can prove pivotal in denying enemy forces line of sight. On maps with no FOW their ability has no effect, rendering them mostly obsolete. However, if low on funds, they perform better in combat than recon against light armor units, but with less mobility unless there is a good deal of forest terrain. This makes it a useful low-cost defensive unit. Rigs cost the same, and have much stronger armor, but cannot attack. The situation

  • Thanks to the intervention of the Chaotix Crew, Flare was forced to spend four years in prison for an unknown crime. However, she was able to escape along with her colleagues and embarked on a revenge mission. The team landed on Chaotix's Satellite Base and proceeded to overwhelm them. Flare played her part by shooting jets of fire at her foes, particularly Vector the Crocodile. Unfortunately, one such burst almost struck Hydran, which would have melted his suit and caused him to become a puddle on the floor. The pair continued to bicker about this for a while, allowing Chaotix to regroup. Flare soon got her own way again, assisting Squall in the defeat of Espio the Chameleon. Eventually, the team were able to force Chaotix (minus Charmy Bee) into a liquidiser. Soon after, Flare showed her sadistic side when she revealed how much she was looking forward to "taking care of" Charmy. Her opportunity came when Charmy returned home, followed by dozens of worker bees. Flare was a bystander for much of the brawl, but moved in after her teammates had been mixed together. The furious Flare charged at one of the mixers, but Charmy worked fast, firing a small bit of high octane fuel at her. This caused her to burn out of control, in turn providing enough heat to turn all four of them into a pot. Flare still survived the experience, angry at being part of a piece of pottery. It's not likely she survived the Special Zone's destruction, however.

  • Flare is the flagship heroine of Heroic Publishing, an independent comic book publisher in the United States. Her comics were published irregularly from 1988 to 1994, and from 2004 to 2007. Billed as "Comics' Glittering Goddess of Light", Flare is also the glamorous fashion model Teresa Feran. She makes no attempt at a secret identity. According to her Backstory, Flare is the daughter of a valkyrie who fought on the wrong side in World War II. Her allies include Donnah Hannah, alias Lady Arcane, and the Galloping Galooper. Flare's official site features a gallery of covers and pin-up art. She later had a Sunday-only comic strip, distributed by Creators Syndicate. This comic book provides examples of: * Author Appeal: Teresa spends a lot of time nearly naked. A lot. * Big Eater * Clothing Damage * Crossover: To Spying with Lana, in Spying with Flare * Good Thing You Can Heal * Gratuitous German * Greek Mythology * Hair of Gold * Hot Witch (Lady Arcane) * Innocent Fanservice Girl * Light Is Good * She's Got Legs: Flare and Lady Arcane both qualify. * Statuesque Stunner * Superhero

  • Flares are used for providing light or producing signals for others to see. The player can use flares to distract enemies, and the heat eminating from the flare can also be used to distract Automated Turrets. Flares work both ways, however: although they can be used to light dark areas, using them may give your position away and make you an easier target for the enemy. Additionally, flares produce light, meaning your visibility will increase when near an active flare.

  • A flare was a small combustible rocket, similar to a firecracker, which was used to send a distress signal. In 2267, Montgomery Scott compared Spock's jettison and ignition of the remaining fuel in the shuttlecraft Galileo to sending up a flare. (TOS: "The Galileo Seven" )
  • Emergency Flares are items that Harry Mason can use in Silent Hill: Shattered Memories to temporarily repel the Raw Shocks and are the closest thing resembling a weapon in the game. The Raw Shocks have a negative reaction to heat, thus as it burns, they will stay about three meters/yards from Harry until it completely burns out. Dropping the flare on the ground in certain places such as a narrow corridor can be more effective than carrying it along, as it will create a "barrier" that the Raw Shocks cannot pass. Flares must be used carefully as they only last about 15-20 seconds. While flares let off extreme levels of heat, Harry can hold the flare as close to his body as he likes but he will not get burnt or hurt at all. As well, while the Raw Shocks are averse to the extreme heat of a flare, when they attack him, they are able to "chill" him to death by absorbing his bodily heat. There are about one or two flares available per nightmare sequence.

  • FLARE was one of Cybertron's most decorated, most battle-tested Decepticons in history, and he had the scars to prove it. Cold, hard, and unbending, many a decepticon warrior has been put through his or her paces by this iron-fisted legend. Even after he retired from active combat duty, he still packed more than a little punch. FLARE was one of the original test designs for the triplechanger module. In robot mode, carried twin laser pistols and could fire incendiary missiles from shoulder-mounted receptacles or jets of superheated napalm from his palms. In helicopter mode, could travel at speeds of up to 800 MPH, and fired napalm, incendiary rockets, and licks of flame from forward-mounted flamethrowers. In tank mode, he was equipped with triangular-headed ram-prow, and a barrage of weaponry from flamethrowers to artillery shells. Prone to breakdown due to age, FLARE was still fanatically loyal to the empire to the end, and a strict instructor that only accepted the best.

  • The Flare is a weapon of supreme cheapness mostly dropped by Brutes.

  • Flares are a tool that can be used as a light source and can be brandished to scare away wildlife. Flares provide 1 in-game hour of light (or 5 real-time minutes), and unlike the torch, they can be lit in windy weather. They seem to be more effective than a torch at scaring off wolves, but less effective than a rifle report. An expended flare can be picked up, but it currently serves no purpose. An expended flare will be marked in the inventory as "RUINED" and have a red 'X' through the icon, but will continue to contribute weight to your inventory. A flare cannot be harvested or repaired, but is fairly common to find.
The situation will dictate what to spend your 5,000 funds on.

  • Flare is the only Fire Bro. in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and is a member of the Glitz Pit team, Hamma, Bamma and Flare. He has an HP of 7 and an Attack of 3. He shoots mini fireballs out of his mouth that can burn Mario and his teammates.
  • Ray Sah was an abandoned orphan who grew up on the mean streets of the planet Rimbor. From an early age, Ray Sah learned to steal to survive and use her mutant abilities of solar absorption and manipulation to aid in her endeavors. First reported to the Science Police on the planet of Ventura, little is revealed of Flare's early life and origin. Nearly captured on Ventura for a theft of several life jewels, Flare was described as a young child with some form of solar powers. However, that particular heist gave her notoriety of being an accomplished thief and she gained fame and the attention of powerful individuals. Few of the thefts that Flare committed placed lives in danger and she seemingly concentrated on stealing valuable objects in impossible situations for trusted and established customers. Besides jewels, she has been known to steal works of art from museums, records and industrial information, and even a space cruiser from Nullport for the Khunds. Flare's continued notoriety and increasing skills garnered her the attention of the Emerald Empress, who was looking for new members for the Fatal Five. A new, violent side of Flare was expressed as a member of the new Fatal Five. Flare and the Fatal Five, whose roster boasted the Emerald Empress, the Persuader, Caress and Mentalla, came into direct conflict against the Legion of Super-Heroes. Flare and the Fatal Five nearly defeated the Legionnaires but they ultimately faced defeat. Flare has since been placed in custody, along with her teammates, in the maximum-security prison facility known as Labyrinth.
