The site’s initial success prompted the expansion of The DJ Booth into a site where users could hear, rate and comment on new music. The site now primarily streams a selection of new hip-hop and R&B singles, as selected by staff members. All music on the site is licensed and comes from a network of major and independent labels, artists and DJs. In addition to music, The DJ Booth also features album reviews, news, music charts, and interviews hosted by Chicago radio personality DJ Z. A number of prominent artists have been interviewed by DJ Z for the site, including Kanye West, Akon and Three 6 Mafia.
