Stel-Ardak and his family moved to Coruscant where he supported his family as a bounty hunter for an unknown employer who used a Zabrak as an intermediary. His actions brought him to the attentions of Anakin Skywalker, which indirectly led to Stel-Ardak killing his wife and the two engaging in single combat. Stel-Ardak then left for parts unknown, telling Skywalker to look after his son and not tell him what had happened.
