  • Marc Cannon is Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Public Policy for AutoNation, and has served in this capacity since 2001. He previously held the position as Vice President of Marketing Communications. Mr. Cannon served as Chief Marketing Officer and subsequently Senior Vice President of Marketing for Blue Dot Services from 1999-2001; a national network of home repair and services contractors. Additionally, he served as Vice President of Internal Communications for Republic Industries from 1996-1999, and Alamo Rent A Car from 1985-1994. Born in Florida July 24, 1961, Mr. Cannon attended the University of Miami and graduated receiving a Bachelor Degree in 1884. Marc Cannon is also a member of the Arthur Page Society and the University of Florida Public Relation's Advisory Council. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Automotive Hall Of Fame, and the NADA "Strategic Planning Committee", and was most effective in initiating a comprehensive awareness of the dangers of "Texting While Driving" and promoted initiatives withn the auto industry to bring awareness of the dangers of this practice which led to legislative iniatives.
