Meanwhile, Necasian scientists announced that they had completed work on a new Necasian superweapon: the Shatter device, a machine capable of projecting intense ultrasonic waves capable of deatomizing anything they came into contact with. A Shatter device was hurriedly constructed on Hurcha near the main Necaisan base. Shortly after, a Srav flotilla appeared in orbit. Jarn made several speeches to rouse the troops, and then ordered the forces under his command to brace themselves. Meanwhile, the Shatter device was started up and primed, and Necasian SpecOps officer Bakas Mofo helped keeped stability in the ranks as Srav ships descended on the planet.
