The Cathedral was assaulted by a group led by David Ransom Porter in an effort to stop Neidermeyer and recover the Moebius Device. Neidermeyer ultimately escaped, but Shog died when Daneel Olivaw managed to teleport from the Cathedral to the site on Earth where the Moebius Effect had been initiated and reverse the process.
