abstract
  • The rat is a minor villain in A Christmas Carol. Like most rats, this one is considered a pest. In the future sequence, Ebenezer Scrooge is somehow shrunk by The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come, and finds himself sliding down drain pipes, eventually ending up in Old Joe's house. When Scrooge has a look around he notices various goods that he once owned. It turned out that during this future Scrooge had just died and his former maid, along with Old Joe robbed all of his belongings. Suddenly, Old Joe grabs a fire poker and swings it in the direction of the shrunken Scrooge, but is actually aiming at a nearby rat. This starts a three way chase between Old Joe, the rat and Scrooge.
