  • The unconscious mind in Freudian psychology refers to the functions of the human mind which we repress or never become aware of. It is a source of both creativity and destructiveness.
  • Unconscious is a condition. * You’re helpless. * You take a −5 penalty to all defenses. * You can’t take actions. * You fall prone, if possible. * You can’t flank an enemy. * You are unaware of your surroundings.
  • Unconsciousness is a character status in Might and Magic games. It occurs when a character's HP goes below zero. An unconscious character will not be able to fight or do anything at all. It can be cured by casting a Healing spell, thus bringing the current HP over zero, visiting a temple, or simply resting and healing.
  • Unconscious is knocked out and helpless. Unconsciousness can result from having current hit points between -1 and -9, or from nonlethal damage in excess of current hit points. A character who is unconscious as a result of having current hit points between -1 and -9 who becomes stable has a 10% chance every hour to become conscious. A character who is unconscious as a result of having nonlethal damage in excess of current hit points has a 10% chance every minute to wake up and be staggered.
  • Type: Negative/Bad Effect: When a character's HP reaches 0 they become unconscious and they cannot do anything in battle. Gain From: All Enemies Cure by: Jizo Clock; Sacrificial Buddha; Mother Ocean, Yell, Light of Day Spells. Appear in: Suikoden; Suikoden II; Suikoden III; Suikoden IV; Suikoden V; Suikoden Tactics; Suikoden Tierkreis; Genso Suikoden: The Woven Web of a Century
  • Affected characters cannot act. If the protagonist falls unconscious, the game is over. If other allies fall unconscious, they will have 1 HP upon returning to the field.
  • Unconsciousness (sometimes known as faintness) is a status ailment present in all three games in the Mother series. Party members are considered unconscious when their HP drops to 0. In EarthBound and Mother 3, thanks to the rolling health odometer, a character is only rendered unconscious when the meter reaches 0. If the fight ends or if the character is healed before it reaches the bottom, they will survive. In Mother, there is a status condition called "Stone". "Stone" is almost identical to Diamondization, except in the overworld, the character becomes an unanimated sprite.
  • There are two types of unconsciousness: stunned and negative health. Stunning can occur in many situations, such as: having a toolbox hit your crotch and getting gassed with N2O. Negative Health, on the other hand, can occurdue to receiving 100% or more damage, which places You into Dying state. During Dying state You cannot breath, and will slowly take suffocation damage until you reach -100 health, which causes death. When you are unconscious there is nothing you can do but wait. If you're in range of people talking it will say "You Can Almost Hear someone Talking....."
  • Unconscious is a condition in Fallout Tactics, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. In Fallout 3 and New Vegas, unconsciousness is a result of what would normally be a death that happens to a character who is flagged as "essential" or, in the latter, any followers while playing outside Hardcore mode. It sometimes also happens to non-essential characters, albeit rarely.

It is currently impossible to break out from a stun process, so just wait and pray that you will survive. Hovever, it is NOT possible to recover from dying state without medical help. When you are unconscious there is nothing you can do but wait. If you're in range of people talking it will say "You Can Almost Hear someone Talking....."

Unconscious characters cannot fight, use PSI or defend themselves, and cannot be the target of enemy attacks. This state could be considered the "dead" state in many RPGs, but due to the series' nature, such a term isn't easily used. PSI Healing γ / Ω can be used to revive an unconscious character, as well as some special items like the Cup of Lifenoodles. In Mother, only Super Healing can revive an unconscious party member. If all characters end up unconscious, however, the game is over. There is a status ailment known as Diamondization, which is identical to being instantly KO'd, although the Diamondized character retains all HP and PP, and the appearance of a Diamondized character in the overworld is a humanoid statue constructed of orange diamonds, instead of the normal unconscious sprite. In Mother, there is a status condition called "Stone". "Stone" is almost identical to Diamondization, except in the overworld, the character becomes an unanimated sprite.

When knocked unconscious, that person or creature will fall to the ground and lay there until the current battle ends, then get back up. If the person or creature was knocked unconscious by the player character, they may remain hostile until they get back up.
