  • Emanation Spirits

  • Unique among Pokémon, the Emanation Spirits possess unusual origins when compared to their fellow Legendaries. They are creations of the people who live within the region, born and formed through their combined beliefs, hopes, and dreams. Because of this, these Pokémon are generally much more benevolent than all others in Xeno, and genuinely endeavor to aid humanity, unlike Mantracine who largely seeks to keep his charges in check. The scholars of Granthala City believe that the same belief that created them is responsible for maintaining their existence, and that taking them to other regions with different beliefs is an impossibility. Because of this same fact, their types, while generally consistent, have been known to change over long periods of time as the Xenoan people's view of them has shifted. The Xeno myths identify the Emanation Spirits as being created along with the Pokémon world, and to have blessed the region from its inception. Thus, they are more ancient creatures than even the Afterlife Trio. Indeed, it is often believed that these Pokémon were vital in sealing Naraka and Savara, even briefly choosing trainers to fight alongside. Today, they are rarely seen, but belief remains strong and to actually catch a glimpse of one is considered a major occurrence. Team Samsara is naturally aware of them, but their plans for these mysterious Pokémon have not been revealed. While they typically wander around the region, seeking worshippers or those in need of their aid, they have several favored locations known as Hallowed Grounds (Japanese: 神聖な地面 Sacred Ground); sites where those with enough belief or devotion can supposedly summon them. There are currently four named Emanation Spirits in the modern era, though hypothetically more or less might have existed in the past.
